Soul Contracts – Danielle MacKinnon

The book “Soul Contracts” by Danielle MacKinnon is about recognising and letting go of soul blockages that keep us trapped in fears, doubts, negative emotions and beliefs. These blockages may have been inherited from our ancestors or brought with us from past lives or they are from this life time.

Danielle MacKinnon calls those blockages “mental seeds” and “soul contracts”. Mental seeds are deeply routed negative beliefs. Soul contracts develop as a result of those beliefs when we don’t face the negative emotions, but push them aside instead.

The book explains in 5 steps how we can recognise those seeds and soul contracts and their effects in our own life and how we can remove them from our energetic system. Danielle MacKinnon uses examples of her own clients to describe the effect of mental seeds and soul contracts in peoples lives and also to describe how those 5 steps to recognise and remove them lead to changes.

This isn’t a fast fix method. I have worked several weeks with this book and have found it to be very helpful. I could recognise and let go of several patterns and blockages from past lives. But the different steps take some time to take effect.

The book contains some interesting specialties that I now use daily and can really recommend. It includes working with your spiritual helpers.

One of those things is called “Six Invocations of Light” and is best done daily for at least 40 days in a row. By doing that you only invite beings and experiences of 100 percent divine light into your life.

The second one is a method of energetic clearing with which you can remove everything from your life and from yourself that does not match 100 percent divine light. Very effective. I use it daily and recommend it.

The third one is a method to be filled with 100 percent divine light by your spiritual helpers which I also use daily now. Very effective and helpful.

Because of those practises the book “Soul Contracts” by Danielle MacKinnon has become a workbook for me that I have with me every day and use every day. It looks like that in the meantime which hardly ever happens with any book I read normally. I can really recommend it.

Thank and grow rich – Pam Grout

“Thank and grow rich” by Pam Grout is a must read. I don’t remember ever having said about a book “You have to read this”. In this case I do. You have to read this.

I love this book. I’ve made it my daily companion during the past weeks and am now reading it for the second time. It shifts your focus away from everything that doesn’t work towards all the things that do work, daily, for 4 weeks.

The book guides us to come into the frequency of gratitude and joy and stay there, every day. There is an introductory part in which Pam Grout explains the thinking errors of our time, i.e. that there is lack and what happens when we tune into the endless possibilities of the universe.

At the beginning and at the end of the book there is a Thank and grow rich income statement where you can evaluate yourself before and after reading the book. This isn’t about gaining financial riches, but about spiritual, social, creative capital and more. What is meant by everyone of them is explained in detail and with examples.

Then comes the big fun part of the book with 27 party games, one for each day. Pam Grout doesn’t like “exercises”. That sounds too serious for her. She prefers party games. 😄 Gratitude is supposed to be fun and guide us into the frequency of joy.

And that’s why every chapter starts with a party game where at first the game is being described, telling you what to do during this day. Then comes the “Party Gift”, which is often an explanation about what happens when you play the game and additional real stories. And then there is the “Dessert”, which are often real life stories from real people that show what gratitude can do in your life.

For me “Thank and grow rich” by Pam Grout is simply awesome. It helps me enormously at the moment to see 3 things every day that I am grateful for. That’s one exercise at the beginning of the book.

I have just accepted a 40 hour job to heal my finances and be financially self-sustaining. In this job I am in daily contact with mass consumerism and the respective energies and I have less time for my spiritual business. So I currently need something that helps me see the good in my job and in my life. This book does exactly that.

It reminds me every morning to look for things that I am grateful for. And they need to be different every day. I intend to continue doing this, 27 days, again and again. I can only recommend it.

Nutrition for Intuition – Doreen Virtue, Robert Reeves

In their book “Nutrition for Intuition” Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves give a very detailed overview of all the senses that belong to our intuition and how you can enhance them.

The book consists of several parts. In the beginning the different senses or clear senses are being described and there are many examples that show how their guidance can show up in daily life. This was very fascinating to me, because it made me aware of feelings towards people, situations and other things that I had not been aware of before. You can use the examples easily to go through similar situations in your own life, feel into them and recognise what your intuition tells you.

In this first part of the book Doreen and Robert also present scientific studies about intuition. Apart from that the connection between all our chakras and the different clear senses is being explained as well as the importance of our hormonal system for the intuition. That’s worth reading.

The second part of the book is about nutrition. It basically describes which foods are beneficial for the different senses and hormonal glands and which might be obstructing or blocking them. In this part Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves introduce different superfoods, nuts, seeds, plant-based milks and green smoothies and herbs. There also are some recipes which you can try if you like.

The third part of the book is about how you can enhance your intuition in other ways. One section is about detoxing. Another section talks about quite a few methods of cleaning your chakras. From prayer to crystals and meditations to working with angels, you can try all of them. The last section is about the physical and spiritual effect of certain supplements like vitamins. That’s actually quite interesting.

If you want to learn something more about your intuition and how certain foods can enhance and support it, I recommend you read this book.

But I would like to recommend warmly to everyone to read this book with intuition as well. Maybe consult a naturopath regarding your own nutrition. And maybe learn kinesiologic muscle testing, so that you can really test for your own body which foods are good for it and which are not. There is no one recipe or one truth for everyone regarding nutrition or anything really. But sometimes it sounds like it when you read it. It’s good to sometimes step back and ask “Is this true for me? Is this true for my body?”

Memories of Heaven – Wayne Dyer, Dee Garnes

This book is so beautiful. I’ve just started to read it again.

In their book “Memories of Heaven” Wayne Dyer and his assistant and co-author Dee Garnes have collected and published stories from parents all over the world. All those reports contain memories of small children about Heaven, the time before their birth and how they choose their parents.

The stories are as diverse as the children, but the energy that they make you feel is heavenly. They talk about their time with God, about how they have been angels and often they were together with their later-to-be siblings. Many of those children see deceased loved ones and talk about them. Often also those whom they have never met.

Other children talk about past lives and about other parents that they had in those lives. There are children who remember that in a past life they were the mom and their current mom was the child. Some reports make it clear that the soul of a deceased loved one is reincarnated in the child. Others show that children who left through miscarriages came back. Something that moved me deeply, because I had miscarriages myself.

There are reports where children suddenly have forebodings and with loud screaming or strange behaviour prevented that the family became involved in an accident or something similar. Other children point to their mothers belly and announce that she is pregnant or just say out of the blue that they will have a sister or brother. There’s also stories about “imaginative” friends who are part of the family.

It’s really hard to describe. You have to read it. These words of children which are often quotations carry so much love and often I could feel the connection to Heaven, God and the angels and the truth of those words. Also while I was reading my own children and grandparents often were present with me. I could feel them and they would also give me messages.

I would highly recommend “Memories of Heaven” by Wayne Dyer and Dee Garnes. It is just heavenly and beautiful.

Walking Home – Sonia Choquette

In her book “Walking Home – A Pilgrimage from Humbled to Healed”, Sonia Choquette tells the journey of her healing pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, an 820 km trek over the Pyrenees and across northern Spain.

Sonia has been an intuitive coach , author and spiritual teacher for 35 years, teaching people to develop their intuition, heal heartache, overcome obstacles and live life fearlessly. When her brother and father unexpectedly die shortly after each other, all the tools she has been teaching fail to help her.

After the initial shock of her loss ceases, she finds herself confronted with raging anger towards her brother and father. Childhood memories surface, ignored feelings, things she just accepted and never voiced take hold and won’t go away. In addition to that the problems in her marriage become more apparent than ever. She and her husband Patrick fail to find a way to communicate. Anger takes hold in their relationship until one day Sonia blurts out that she can no longer live with him.

During all that Sonia has continued to work, giving workshops, coaching, if not more than ever. When she is working, she isn’t confronted with her own life and feelings. But one day she reaches her limit. She cannot shut out all the emotional turbulence anymore. Feeling sad, hurt, angry and unhappy, she finally sees and admits it all to herself, realising that she doesn’t want to be this unhappy person any longer.

Praying for Divine intervention

Sonia starts to pray for divine intervention to release the old strangling patterns of relationship as well as her male fighter and caretaker part who jumps in on every occasion rescuing other people, but thereby exhausting herself. She prays to the Holy Mother God to release her from her old life and surrenders to be guided to a new one. Her Higher Self answers with a clear instruction to walk the Camino de Santiago and go alone.

On the Camino

She starts walking the Camino in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in France. But before she takes off on Day 1 she says a prayer to be guided and helped to release old patterns, to heal and transform old emotions and to clear her life of all that no longer serves her soul. She continues to say those prayers every day.

Her journey on the camino takes 34 days. Sonia very openly shares her adventures, the beautiful landscape and the many many feelings and struggles she faces and goes through each day. She also shares photos of her journey and herself in the book.

This walk for her isn’t just a walk on the camino. It is a walk through her whole life and through her inner landscape of suppressed emotions that now have the chance to be felt and acknowledged. With every step she walks on the camino she heals a part of herself. It is beautiful to see how Spirit orchestrates meetings with people just at the right time to say the right words, uplift, help heal or just be there.

It is a beautiful, meaningful journey and I highly recommend reading the book “Walking Home” by Sonia Choquette.
