Thank and grow rich – Pam Grout

“Thank and grow rich” by Pam Grout is a must read. I don’t remember ever having said about a book “You have to read this”. In this case I do. You have to read this.

I love this book. I’ve made it my daily companion during the past weeks and am now reading it for the second time. It shifts your focus away from everything that doesn’t work towards all the things that do work, daily, for 4 weeks.

The book guides us to come into the frequency of gratitude and joy and stay there, every day. There is an introductory part in which Pam Grout explains the thinking errors of our time, i.e. that there is lack and what happens when we tune into the endless possibilities of the universe.

At the beginning and at the end of the book there is a Thank and grow rich income statement where you can evaluate yourself before and after reading the book. This isn’t about gaining financial riches, but about spiritual, social, creative capital and more. What is meant by everyone of them is explained in detail and with examples.

Then comes the big fun part of the book with 27 party games, one for each day. Pam Grout doesn’t like “exercises”. That sounds too serious for her. She prefers party games. 😄 Gratitude is supposed to be fun and guide us into the frequency of joy.

And that’s why every chapter starts with a party game where at first the game is being described, telling you what to do during this day. Then comes the “Party Gift”, which is often an explanation about what happens when you play the game and additional real stories. And then there is the “Dessert”, which are often real life stories from real people that show what gratitude can do in your life.

For me “Thank and grow rich” by Pam Grout is simply awesome. It helps me enormously at the moment to see 3 things every day that I am grateful for. That’s one exercise at the beginning of the book.

I have just accepted a 40 hour job to heal my finances and be financially self-sustaining. In this job I am in daily contact with mass consumerism and the respective energies and I have less time for my spiritual business. So I currently need something that helps me see the good in my job and in my life. This book does exactly that.

It reminds me every morning to look for things that I am grateful for. And they need to be different every day. I intend to continue doing this, 27 days, again and again. I can only recommend it.
